1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the taxi booking and ride services (“Service”) provided by Calicut Airport Cabs (“we,” “our,” “us,” or “Company”), accessible via our website, mobile application, and phone/WhatsApp booking channels.

By booking a ride, using our website or app, or otherwise availing our Service, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Definitions

“Service” means the airport transfer and taxi booking services offered by Calicut Airport Cabs.
“Driver” means an individual driver or driver-partner who provides transportation under this Service.
“Booking” means a confirmed reservation of a ride made through our website, app, phone, or WhatsApp.
“Fare” means the total amount payable for a ride, including base fare, applicable taxes, tolls, and surcharges.

3. Eligibility

By using our Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. Bookings made on behalf of minors must be made by a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the ride.

4. Booking and Rides

Bookings can be made through our website, mobile app, phone call, or WhatsApp, subject to vehicle and driver availability.

You must provide accurate pickup location, drop-off location, contact number, and flight details (for airport transfers) at the time of booking.

We recommend booking airport pickups with sufficient buffer time. Delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Customer are not the Company’s responsibility.

Ride confirmations, driver details, and vehicle information will be shared via SMS, call, or WhatsApp prior to the scheduled pickup.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or unavailability of vehicles.

5. Fares and Payment

Fares are calculated based on distance, vehicle type, time of travel, waiting time, tolls, parking charges, and applicable government taxes.

The fare quoted at the time of booking is estimated and may vary slightly based on the actual route taken, traffic conditions, or additional stops requested by the Customer.

Payment can be made via cash, UPI, debit/credit card, or online payment gateway, as available.

Any additional waiting time beyond the complimentary period (e.g., at airports) may be charged as per applicable waiting charges.

All fares are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at the time of booking.

6. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Customers may cancel a booking free of charge up to [X hours] before the scheduled pickup time.

Cancellations made within [X hours] of the scheduled pickup, or after a driver has been assigned and dispatched, may incur a cancellation fee.

If the Customer is not present at the pickup location within [15-20 minutes] of the scheduled time and does not respond to the driver’s contact attempts, the booking may be treated as a “no-show” and charged in full.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control, including vehicle breakdown, extreme weather, or force majeure events, and will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative or issue a refund where applicable.

7. User Conduct

While using the Service, you agree not to:

Engage in abusive, threatening, or unlawful behavior towards drivers or staff.
Smoke, consume alcohol, or carry illegal substances inside the vehicle.
Damage or misuse the vehicle or its contents.
Exceed the seating capacity of the assigned vehicle.
Provide false information during booking.

We reserve the right to refuse service, end a ride, or bar future bookings for Customers who violate these conduct standards.

8. Luggage and Lost Items

Standard luggage allowance depends on the vehicle type selected at booking. Excess or oversized luggage may not be accommodated and should be communicated in advance.

Customers are responsible for checking the vehicle for personal belongings before disembarking.

While we will make reasonable efforts to assist in recovering items left in a vehicle, Calicut Airport Cabs is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen personal belongings during or after the ride.

9. Liability and Disclaimers

We strive to ensure timely and safe service; however, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, flight delays, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.

Our liability, where legally permitted, is limited to the value of the fare paid for the specific ride in question.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, such as missed flights or connecting travel, arising from delays, unless caused by our gross negligence.

Vehicles used for the Service are covered by applicable motor insurance as required under Indian law.

10. Drivers and Vehicles

All drivers associated with Calicut Airport Cabs undergo identity verification and hold valid driving licenses and permits as required by law.

Vehicles are regularly maintained and comply with applicable transport regulations.

We reserve the right to substitute the assigned vehicle or driver due to operational requirements, without affecting the agreed fare or service quality.

11. Safety and Monitoring

For the safety of both Customers and Drivers, rides may be tracked via GPS, and some vehicles may be equipped with dash-cams.

Any such data collected is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and app, including the Calicut Airport Cabs name, logo, design, and branding, is the property of Calicut Airport Cabs and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our prior written consent.

13. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a Customer’s access to the Service at our discretion, including in cases of fraudulent bookings, repeated no-shows, abusive conduct, or violation of these Terms.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Calicut Airport Cabs, its drivers, employees, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kozhikode, Kerala.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
